Brinsea Products held an amazing tea party on Friday. Tea and cake were served up in aid of The Wallace and Gromit Appeal for Bristol Children's Hospital. Treats served up included tea loaf, a fabulous coffee cake and a delicious chocolate cake iced with a picture of Gromit. A grand total of £73 was raised from donations and playing Gromit's cake game. A photographer from the Weston and Somerset Mercury came to take photos
and of course he had to stay to try the cake! More details can be

Brinsea Products Staff prepare for Macmillan Coffee Morning...
The staff at Brinsea Products are preparing to take part in the Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September. Posters have been put up inviting the staff to try some delicious cakes and coffee and favourite cakes are eagerly being debated. Everyone is discussing what they would do if they won the fabulous £7000 of John Lewis vouchers in the Macmillan Shopping Spree prize draw. Office Manager Juliette would head straight for he kitchen department, where she would treat herself to a set of Le Creuset casserole dishes, Adam would buy the biggest HD TV available, and Sally would head for the handbag and shoe department... no surprises there then!!
You can support Macmillan too, it's a great way of raising money - here's how you can become involved:
- Choose a date. The official day is Friday 25 September, but you can hold your coffee morning whenever you want. We'd just love you to do it for Macmillan.
- Invite your friends and family round. Or how about putting the kettle on for all your colleagues? From the local park to your children's school, your coffee morning can take place wherever you like. Send your invitations by email, text or over facebook to make things even easier for yourself.
- Pour coffee, brew tea, bake or just buy some cakes and encourage everyone to take part. All they need to do is contribute 15 minutes of their time, their conversation and, most of all, a small donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Ian Pearce, MD of Brinsea Products and Sally Kershaw had a mad dash to London on Thursday 5th March 2009 as the producers of ITV's 'This Morning' show rang late in the afternoon to ask Brinsea to supply them with a KatKabin for the show the following day. The KatKabin had to be there for 8am, and no courier could be found at such short notice, so they set off with a KatKabin and toy cat to demonstrate it with! The KatKabin was collected from a central London hotel by researchers from the programme at an unearlhly hour and Ian and Sally were invited to visit the studio to watch the filming. The KatKabin was featured on the 'Great Gifts and Gadgets' slot in the show, and thanks to spending time demonstrating the KatKabin in the green Room with presenter Andy Hodgson the KatKabin received the longest time on view. Eamonn Holmes and his partner and co-presenter Ruth Langsford loved the KatKabin and thought it was a brilliant and stylish product. Eamonn even asked if there were adult sized ones available for when Ruth got home late after a night out partying!

The KatKabin DezRez stand was a very popular destination for retailers at GLEE 2008. They were drawn by the eye-catching, innovative design, and the fun and funky colours… and maybe the possibility of winning a KatKabin and a case of wine! Interest in the new KatKabin was high, with visitors expressing their delight at seeing such a new and exciting product for cats on the market. The designs, such as pink leopardprint and jungle foliage were greatly admired. 'We will make every effort to bring down the cost of printing these fun designs so that retailers can offer their customers a range of KatKabins that will either blend into the garden or make a fantastic design statement' said Ian Pearce, Managing Director of Brinsea Products.

The lucky winner of the prize draw at the stand was Su Carlin of Sunnymead Boarding Kennels and Cattery in Telford, Shropshire. Su was the lucky winner of a KatKabin DezRez and a case of wine following the prize draw at the Glee Show. Su was delighted to have won, and said that she is looking forward to receiving her KatKabin when they go on sale at the end of October. Su has been running Sunnymead for the last three years, and not only boards cats and dogs, but a whole variety of small furry creatures from chinchillas and gerbils to rats and mice!
